Wiesen Family Charity Event Benefits Autism Speaks
Brittany and Samantha Wiesen
Brittany and Samantha Wiesen held the Annual Wiesen Family Charity Event on Aug 4, 2006, in Woodbourne, NY. Each year the Wiesen family raises money for different charitable organizations. This year, all proceeds from the annual event were given to Autism Speaks to help advance the organization's mission of changing the lives of children and families affected by autism. The evening, which featured a Chinese auction with prizes, including jewelry and collectibles, raffled off throughout the evening, culminated a year's worth of fundraising that also included car washes, lemonade stands, the sale of specialty clothing and the sale of a compiled and professionally bound historic cookbook of bungalow colony recipes dating from the last 50 years. The Wiesen's endeavors throughout the year and on the evening of the event raised over $6,500 for Autism Speaks. Special thanks are also given to the members of the Lansman's Housing Corporation, whose members donated prizes as well as the use of their facility for the evening event.
