Respite Care Training Program

The Jewish Community Center of Mid-Westchester in Scarsdale, N.Y., is planning a free information session on how to become a trained respite care provider for children. The training is geared toward children with developmental delays or diagnosed with autism spectrum and related disorders. Tony Attwood, author of The Complete Guide to Asperger's Syndrome, will be on hand for the evening of Oct. 30 at the new Asperger Institute at New York University Child Study Center. The event, which begins at 7 p.m. and costs $35 person, takes place at the NYU Medical Center's Farkas Auditorium (between 32nd and 33rd Sts. on First Avenue in Manhattan).
