Third Annual Autism Speaks Golf Classic raises over $350,000

The Third Annual Autism Speaks Golf Classic was held on October 6, 2008 at the Sleepy Hollow Country Club in Scarborough, N.Y. The celebrity golf tournament featured golfers paired with celebrity players for a fun filled day of golf and concluded with a dinner reception that included exciting live and silent auctions. The event raised over $352,000 for Autism Speaks.

The event was hosted by Joe Kernen, host of CNBC's "Squawk Box." The day's celebrity players included former NFL players Marcus Allen, M. Leo Hart, Jeremy Lincoln, and Lynn Swann; actors Christopher Jackson, of the Tony Award winning musical "In the Heights," Matthew Settle of the hit "Gossip Girl," Michael Park of "As the World Turns," and Trevor St. John of "One Live to Live;" former "Apprentice" boardroom staple and best-selling author Carolyn Kepcher; and award winning WNBC news personalities Monica Morales and Otis Livingston.

Golfers enjoyed the beautiful and challenging course at the storied Sleepy Hollow Country Club that also included exciting course contests. Joe Kernen along with Autism Speaks co-founder Bob Wright served as the evening's auctioneers. The event was chaired by Jack Schneider and Autism Speaks co-founders Suzanne and Bob Wright.
