Kids' Night on Broadway to Spotlight Autism
kids' night on broadway
Suzanne Wright (second from right) is joined by (left to right) Charlotte St. Martin, Executive Director of The League of American Theatres & Producers, national Kids' Night on Broadway ambassadors Emma Walton Hamilton and her mother, Julie Andrews, along with Janine DiGioacchino, General Manager of Madame Tussauds, and a group of young Broadway actors at a press conference announcing Kids' Night on Broadway 2007.

Autism Speaks Co-Founder Suzanne Wright joined beloved actress Julie Andrews at a November 2 press conference in New York announcing Kids' Night on Broadway, the annual event during which young people ages 6 to 18 can attend a Broadway show for free when accompanied by a full-paying adult.

The event, including a Pre-Theater Fan Festival at Madame Tussauds, will take place in New York City on Tuesday, January 30, 2007 and Wednesday, January 31, 2007. Kids' Night events will also occur nationwide throughout the year.

This year's Kids' Night will also help shine a spotlight on the growing prevalence of autism and the work of Autism Speaks. The League of American Theatres & Producers will include information about autism and Autism Speaks on Kids' Night printed materials, on its websites, and at fanfest events at Madame Tussauds.
