ING NYC Marathon November 1, 2009 For the third year, Autism Speaks is honored to be selected to host a team for the ING NYC Marathon on November 1. Autism Speaks is the only autism charity selected to have a team in the marathon making this the sole opportunity to run the NYC Marathon for the autism community. This year, 125 individuals will train, fundraise, and run for the cause. To date, our elite Autism Speaks runners have raised over $390,000 for Autism Speaks – increasing the pace of autism research with every dollar. 2010 Walt Disney World® Marathon Weekend presented by CIGNA January 8-10, 2010 Autism Speaks is proud to be a part of the 2010 Walt Disney World® Marathon Weekend presented by CIGNA from January 8-10, 2010. We have been awarded entries for the Full, Half and Goofy. Walt Disney World® Marathon Weekend presented by CIGNA features: Marathon: Participants will experience the most magical 26.2 miles in the world with a race course that winds through all four Walt Disney World® Theme Parks Half Marathon: Participants will experience 13.1 miles of on-course Disney music and entertainment visiting two Walt Disney World® Theme Parks along the way. Goofy Challenge: If you register for Goofy's Race and a Half Challenge you will run the half marathon on Saturday, January 9 and the full on Sunday, January 10. You will earn a special Goofy medal to commemorate your achievement in addition to your other two finisher medals. Currently, we have 55 Half Marathon entries, 20 Full Marathon entries, and five Goofy Challenge entries available. All require a minimum fundraising of $1,500 to be a part of Team Autism Speaks.
