Josh Gedik, son of Ride Now founder and co-chair Diane Gedik, cheers on the bikers.
importance of why they ride. Riders proudly wore their Autism Speaks' Ride Now pins, bandanas and flew flags from their bikes in order to raise awareness as they rode along city streets and highways.
As riders pulled into the Village of Addison complex, they were greeted by live music from local band favorite Mistaken Identity, an amazing food spread donated by local restaurant JD Muggs, and enjoyed visiting local vendors set up throughout the park. Raffle prizes were abundant and everyone enjoyed an amazing sixth year event.
Special thanks goes out to our Chicago committee chairs and Ride Now founders, Diane Gedik, Jennifer Stary, Laura Quinley and Leo Tavolacci. The ING DIRECT Ride Now program began in Diane's garage six years ago and has spread to eight cities nationwide in 2008. Thank you so much for such an amazing accomplishment. We are looking forward to three more successful rides in the next three weeks to round out a successful 2008 Ride season!
