The American Century Championship took place from July 11 through July 17 at Lake Tahoe. For the second year in a row, Autism Speaks was one of the charities benefiting from their fundraising efforts. American Century Championship has become a vehicle for real impact on important causes, through both the money raised and the awareness generated during this five-day event, which attracts more than 25,000 spectators and is broadcast live by NBC Sports. Among the celebrities who turned out to play golf and help raise money and awareness were Donald Trump, actors Cheech Marin, Ray Romano and Jack Wagner, NFL great Jerry Rice, NBA great Charles Barkley, and Former Vice President Dan Quayle, among many others.
