The body of Jaden Dremsa, a 15-year-old with Asperger's syndrome, was found in Lake Arrowhead in North Waterboro, Maine on Saturday afternoon. Jaden had been missing since May 8.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Jaden's family and friends.

(May 1, 2014) - Last Saturday in Manistee, Michigan, Janet Krause got a call that is every parent or grandparent's worst nightmare: her grandson Owen had run off from the company of his caregiver and fallen into a nearby river. The strong current swept Owen down the river. Luckily within minutes, emergency responders arrived and pulled him out. Owen was airlifted to a hospital and put on life support. Just two days later, however, Owen was able to breathe on his own.

(March 27, 2014) -- Vanessa Fontaine, the mother of 14-year-old, Avonte Oquendo, had told her son's teacher that Avonte was a 'runner' who might leave the school building. The note letter was never shared with school administrators, according to a report published today. 

This error, along with other oversights, was was described in a 12-page report published by the special commissioner of investigation for the New York City school system.

Researchers, product developers and investors met to showcase and discuss innovative technology for managing autism-related wandering at a special session of the Autism Speaks Autism Investment Conference, in San Francisco today.

The Original Law Enforcement Rescue Program that electronically tracks people with Alzheimer's who wander and special needs kids. Sheriffs, Police, Fire Departments, SAR Teams, etc. use Care Trak to quickly locate at risk individuals.
