Audrey Banach, Miss Kansas USA 2014, is an Autism Speaks volunteer who will be competing for the title of Miss USA 2014 on June 8th at The Baton Rogue River Center in Louisiana. Earlier this month she wrote a blog for our website on what autism means to her.
(June 1, 2014) -- Thousands of walkers turned out Sunday in Hartford, Conn., Westchester County, NY and Waterloo, Canada to raise funds and awareness for Autism Speaks.
In Westchester, a crowd of around 15,000 gathered for an opening ceremony that included speeches by Autism Speaks President LIz Feld and national board member Laura Slatkin.

Sunday was an action-packed Walk day, as thousands of walkers turned out for the Georgia, Laurel Highlands, Northern New Jersey and Queens/Manhattan Walks.
