Autism Speaks initially developed its relationship with the Theta Delta Chi International Fraternity through its Charge at Rutgers University in 2008. For years, the Rutgers Charge participated in the Central NJ Walk Now for Autism Speaks, serving as one of the Walk’s top team, and in 2010, formed Bros UniteD, a buddy program for fraternity brothers to mentor teenage boys on the spectrum.

NEW YORK, N.Y. (December 14, 2011) – Autism Speaks, the world’s largest autism science and advocacy organization, today announced that it has been selected as the national official philanthropy of Theta Delta Chi, one of the nation’s oldest college fraternities.
