Over 120 Autism Speaks Team Up! members joined the 46,000 runners participating in the 2013 ING NYC Marathon on November 3. Over 50% of our group were returning from the 2012 race that was cancelled. For that dedicated group, their journey took 365 days, but they made it back to complete the 26.2 miles with their new team members. The combined team totals for 2012 and 2013 exceeds $897,881 raised to support the mission of Autism Speaks.

On September 7th over 6,000 runners converged on Central Park for the inaugural Autism Speaks 4 Miles of Hope presented by BNY Mellon. This event, in partnership with the New York Road Runners, helps build on the awareness that is needed for autism in New York and other communities throughout the Northeast. The beautiful day was packed with activities for participants of all ages to learn more about autism.
