It's a typical Monday morning at Nanuet High School and a passing glance down the hall reveals Stevie Coopersmith hurrying, book bag in hand, from the art room to a computer lab.

He appears to be a typical suburban high school student. But spend a few minutes with Coopersmith and you'll find he's no ordinary teenager.

St. Louis, Missouri high school senior Max Chaney is an idol to many of the students on his chess team. Max has autism and he joined the team as a freshman and worked his way up to captain. Chess Coach, Rick Nelson, is so impressed with Max's abilities he often wonders about the untapped potential of other individuals with autism. Watch the KTVI-TV report above for the full story.
