Teen Discovers Passion for Football, Gets Spot on College Team

(September 22, 2014) - Josh Bailey, a senior high school varsity football player from Michigan has quite the story.  Josh was diagnosed with autism at the age of 2, and was non-verbal until the age of 3 ½. Josh said he struggled making friends and fitting in with peers, but football changed everything for him. Currently Bailey, stands at 6-feet-6 and weighs 270 pounds, and is living his dream playing football under the Friday night lights for his school.

Department of Education Mandates Inclusion of Students with Disabilities in Extracurricular Activities

On Friday, January 25th, the Department of Educations' Office for Civil Rights issued new guidance that ordered schools across the country to provide equal opportunity to students with disabilities to participate in extracurricular activities.
