Blue Horizons for Autism takes Flight

On Saturday, September 21, Autism Speaks partnered with JetBlue Airways, Port Authority and the TSA to host Blue Horizons for Autism, the first-of-its-kind event at New York’s JFK Airport to provide families and individuals affected by autism the opportunity to practice the air travel experience in a realistic setting.  Wyndham Worldwide provided a generous contribution to Autism Speaks towards the event.

Autism Speaks Partners With Macys to 'Shop for a Cause'

Macy’s helps local charity raise funds and awareness for important cause

Macy’s will partner with Autism Speaks to invite customers to participate in Macy’s eighth annual national “Shop For A Cause” charity shopping event on August 24, 2013. Customers can purchase shopping passes from Autism Speaks now.  Macy’s “Shop For A Cause” is a unique one-day-only shopping event created to support local charities’ fundraising efforts, which has helped raised more than $46 million for charities across the country since 2006.

Theta Delta Chi Enters Fourth Year of Partnership

Autism Speaks initially developed its relationship with the Theta Delta Chi International Fraternity through its Charge at Rutgers University in 2008. For years, the Rutgers Charge participated in the Central NJ Walk Now for Autism Speaks, serving as one of the Walk’s top team, and in 2010, formed Bros UniteD, a buddy program for fraternity brothers to mentor teenage boys on the spectrum.
