Medicaid Coverage for ABA By States Accelerates

NEW YORK (September 15, 2014) -- In response to a July directive from the federal government to step up Medicaid-funded treatment for autism, a number of states are quickly moving forward to add benefits for behavioral health treatment. One state--Hawai'i--has been hit with a class action suit for failing to provide the coverage.

Great Turnout at the 6th Annual Oregon Walk Now for Autism Speaks

More than 600 attendees participated in the 6th Annual Oregon Walk Now for Autism Speaks at Alpenrose Dairy on a beautiful, sunny, and warm Sunday morning! We had an incredible turnout for a day that featured the Portland Timbers’ Timber Joey in the crowd and Oregon Teacher of the Year, Brett Bigham, who not only spoke to the crowd about his amazing honor as the first Special Education teacher honored for Oregon, but had donations from twelve different states and a $20 note from Australia, from the Australian National Teacher!
