Lauren Elder, assistant director of dissemination science for Autism Speaks appeared on New York WABC-TV's Tiempo on Sunday to discuss autism awareness in the Latino community.  A recent study suggests that language barriers in the doctor’s office and a lack of culturally appropriate awareness materials contribute to a lag in early diagnosis of autism among Latino families.

Michael Rosanoff, Autism Speaks associate director for public health research and scientific review, appeared on NBC4 New York's "Positively Black" on Sunday to discuss the “Maybe” campaign, a new series of public service advertisements from Autism Speaks and the Ad Council designed to reach African American and Hispanic parents. Also appearing was Leota Blacknor, the mother of a child on the autism spectrum. Watch the segment below.
