In the newest round of funding for its Autism Treatment Network, Autism Speaks has selected 14 sites across U.S. and Canada. The selections include two new centers that will join the network in September 2014. (Full list below.)

(August 7, 2014) - Autism Speaks President Liz Feld spoke to North Carolina Fox station WGHP today about the state's autism insurance reform bill. In the interview, Feld called on State Senator Phil Berger to bring the bill up for a vote. Watch the story below.

Newly appointed to the IACC, Autism Speaks' chief science officer redoubles pledge to put science to work for families

Today, the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services announced the appointment of Autism Speaks Chief Science Officer Rob Ring as a new public member of the Interagency Autism Coordinating Committee (IACC). The committee advises the government on federally funded autism research and related activities. It also provides a forum for public input on these issues.

June 21, 2014 - McLean Hospital held its Annual Dinner last night in Boston. Actress Jane Fonda received the McLean award for her work to increase public awareness of mental health issues. Among those in attendance were last year’s honoree, "American Hustle" director David O. Russell; former Saturday Night Live star Maya Rudolph; actress Catherine Keener; Red Sox President and CEO and Larry Lucchino and his wife, Stacey; Liz Feld, president, Autism Speaks; and Dan Smith, Autism Speaks senior director of discovery neuroscience and president of DELSIA.
