Lauren Elder, assistant director of dissemination science for Autism Speaks appeared on New York WABC-TV's Tiempo on Sunday to discuss autism awareness in the Latino community.  A recent study suggests that language barriers in the doctor’s office and a lack of culturally appropriate awareness materials contribute to a lag in early diagnosis of autism among Latino families.
