Karen Driscoll, Autism Speaks' associate director for federal government affairs and military relations, called the Larson amendment "a huge step forward for helping those who are vulnerable."

SAN DIEGO (May 7, 2012) -- Karen Driscoll with the Autism Speaks Government Relations team threw out the honorary first pitch for the San Diego Padres game against the Florida Marlins at PETCO Park as part of Military Spouse Appreciation Day presented by TriWest. Driscoll, a Marine Corps wife and mother of a son with autism, recently joined Autism Speaks as Associate Director for Federal Government Affairs and Military Relations.
