NANTUCKET, MA (August 17, 2013) -- Unity was the theme of the Seventh Annual Walk Now for Autism Speaks walk on Nantucket.
“We are in this together” Suzanne Wright told the crowd of hundreds of walkers of all ages. They gathered early at Jetties Beach on a crisp, sunny morning to make the almost two mile trek for the three million Americans affected by autism.
Cruising took on a whole new meaning on Nantucket tonight.
The millionaire yachts were left docked at their slips.
Instead, people from across the island descended upon Don Allen Ford for a car show – in honor of Autism Speaks and the Nantucket Walk.
Kids played in a bounce house while the adults feasted on delicious summer barbecue and checked out the cars- from new to old. The Autism Speaks Fedex NASCAR car #11 from Joe Gibbs Racing was by far the most popular car.
