Autism Speaks responds to a hateful anonymous letter sent to an Ontario family

Canadian mother Karla Begley received a hate-filled letter from a neighbor who was angered by her son's behaviors.  Begley's son has autism and the shocking letter has since gone viral.

Autism Speaks is pleased to announce the open application period for the Meixner Postdoctoral Fellowships in Translational Research and the Dennis Weatherstone Predoctoral Fellowships. 

Autism Speaks fellowships support the development of promising new scientists with outstanding autism research projects and the mentorship of leading researchers in the field.

On Wednesday, August 15th, the Los Angeles welcomed autism families and friends to Autism Awareness Day at Dodger Stadium.

In attendance were several autism speaks volunteers. One of the shining moments of the game was actually during the pre-game ceremonies when board member of Autism Speaks and Celebrity Holly Robinson Peete sang the national anthem!

On August 19th, Amy Gravino hosted a LIVE Chat with us! Amy is a certified college coach for individuals with Asperger's Syndrome, and the founder of A.S.C.O.T (Asperger's Syndrome Coaching and Other Techniques) Coaching, LLC. She is also a seasoned public speaker, and has spoken at conferences, professional development workshops, support group meetings, and more since the age of 14.
