The thoughts and prayers of all of us at Autism Speaks go out to the people of Boston, Massachusetts in the wake of the tragedy that occurred recently, especially the victims and their families. The devastation has been felt by people across the country and the world as we struggle to understand and deal with this horrible event. It is often particularly difficult for children with autism to fully understand such tragic situations and the feelings of grief and loss associated with them.

Donation to Autism Speaks Autism Tissue Program involved in visually stunning advancement in brain research

 

 

In a dramatic breakthrough, researchers have developed a method for rendering brain tissue transparent. They then used fluorescent chemicals to highlight three-dimensional networks of brain cells and fibers to study their connections.
