(April 24, 2013) – Autism Speaks, the world’s leading autism science and advocacy organization, and the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) are partnering to create the first “Zoos Go Blue,” a unique Autism Awareness Month event taking place at more than 30 AZA-accredited zoos and aquariums across North America on April 28.

Cuomo Signs Proclamation Declaring April 'Autism Awareness Month'

ALBANY (April 14, 2012) -- Gov. Andrew Cuomo has signed a proclamation declaring April Autism Awareness Month in New York. The proclamation notes the recent Centers for Disease Control study finding the prevalence of autism has risen to 1 in 88 American children, as well as the autism insurance reform law Cuomo signed last year that goes into operation this November.
