(September 4, 2014) -- A recent episode of AnimalBytesTV, an online network that features animal-based programming, highlighted the connection between Kamp Kenan, a reptile sanctuacy in South Florida for over 500 turtles, turtoises and other reptiles, and Shannon McDermott, a young girl on the autism spectrum who has a passion for animals. Kamp Kenan was started by former pro BMX rider and sports broadcaster Kenan Harkin.
May 22, 2014 - Artist Vito Bonanno's "Truck'n With Vito" exhibition will travel to art events around the country, raising autism awareness and making the case that people with autism need better choices and funding for art related higher education.
Emoji icons have exploded onto the cutural landscape in the past years. They've gone from being a smiley face a text messages to commonly appearing in statuses and tweets on Facebook and Twitter. There is even a well-regarded Emoji Art Show in New York City.
It's called "Artistic 2,"an event designed to highlight artists affected by autism was held at the Pieters Family Life Center in Henrietta on Saturday.
Talented artists were able to show off their skills on the canvas, some as young as four-years-old.
