NIMH Grant Provides Stimulus to Autism Speaks' Bioinformatic Infrastructure
Autism Speaks is the recent recipient of a $1M NIMH grant funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). Funds from the grant will help to leverage and build upon the bioinformatic infrastructure of Autism Speaks' clinical programs, positioning the organization as a national data federation site for the NIH-funded National Database for

Autism Research. This grant will support the informatics team of the Autism Genetic Resource Exchange (AGRE) in more broadly disseminating the large-scale genetic and clinical datasets generated by AGRE and the Autism Tissue Program (ATP) to the larger research community. By serving in this capacity, Autism Speaks will become a central hub for the dissemination of high level scientific information.
