Baby Siblings Research Consortium Releases 2008 Annual Report
Autism Speaks' High Risk Baby Siblings Research Consortium (BSRC) was established in 2003 with the goal of bringing together clinicians and researchers to discover the earliest behavioral and biomedical markers of autism spectrum disorder. The group consists of 23 accomplished investigators – representing 19 research institutions across the United States, Canada, and Israel – who share a commitment to working
collaboratively in order to improve the lives of those affected with autism and related disorders. All researchers are involved in rigorous, cutting-edge science that aims to identify the early markers of autism, create treatments that optimize developmental outcomes, and enhance family adaptation.
The BSRC recently released their discoveries and accomplishments in the 2008 Annual Report, which includes information on publications, collaborations, and the new autism scientists now trained to study early diagnosis and intervention.
