The Maternal and Child Health Bureau (MCHB)
The funds which have made the AIR-P possible were made available through the Combating Autism Act, and were awarded in Fiscal Year 2008 through a competitive grant application process administered through the Maternal and Child Health Bureau (MCHB) of the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
As the sponsoring agency for the initiative, HRSA takes a keen interest in the AIR-P and has appointed representatives from the MCHB Research Program as Federal Advisors to the program. These include Stella Yu, Sc.D., M.P.H., Chief of the Research and Demonstration Branch, and Hae Young Park, M.P.H., Program Officer, Division of Research, Training and Education.
