About Us
Mission
Participate in Research
Many opportunities are available for families to participate in autism research. You can join a clinical trial, enroll in a research study, contribute to our rich genetic database, or participate online by adding your family information to a research database. 90% of children with cancer are enrolled in clinical trials, but only 5% of children with autism currently participate in research. Your participation will make a big difference.
IAN Interactive Autism Network
Interactive Autism Network (IAN) is an innovative online project designed to accelerate the pace of autism research by allowing parents to report information about their child's diagnosis, behavior, environment, services received, as well as progress over time.

AGRE Autism Genetic Resource Exchange
The Autism Genetic Resource Exchange (AGRE) is a repository (gene bank) of genetic and clinical information that is made available to autism researchers worldwide. If your family has two or more children diagnosed with autism, PDD or Asperger's syndrome, AGRE needs you!

ATP Autism Tissue Program
The Autism Tissue Program (ATP), established in 1998, is a parent-led post-mortem brain tissue donation program dedicated to autism research.

ATN Autism Treatment Network
The Autism Treatment Network (ATN) was established in 2005 as the nation's first network of hospitals and physicians aiming to bridge gaps in knowledge and understanding and to improve treatment for individuals with autism.

CTN Autism Clinical Trials Network
The Autism Clinical Trials Network (ACTN) launched in 2005 to focus on translational research, the critical step necessary to transfer findings from the laboratory to clinical application.
Science Ambassador Program Autism Speaks Science Ambassador Program
Autism Speaks launched its Science Ambassador Program in late 2009. Trained to function as community liaisons, Science Ambassadors are volunteers who help advance Autism Speaks' science mission through increased public awareness of our science programs.
Family Participation in Research
Family Participation in Research is designed to connect families interested in participating in studies with researchers who are actively recruiting participants.
