Washington Nationals Host Autism Awareness Game

April 27, 2014
On Sunday, April 27th the Washington Nationals welcomed autism families and friends to Autism Awareness Day at Nationals Park. Prior to the game, top Washington, DC Walk Now For Autism Speaks Teams gathered for an Awards Reception honoring their incredible fundraising efforts. Top Team Captains Carroll Ross and Rishi Gupta joined by their sons and Board Member James Whalen had a special opportunity to close out Autism Awareness Month with an on field photo op.
The Washington Nationals not only offered discounted tickets to our guests but also allowed us to distribute materials from their community clubhouse and set up a special Quiet Area for those needing a break from the noise of the ballpark.
The Nationals will be hosting an additional Autism Awareness Game Sunday, August 24th. Ticket information will be available at www.nationals.com/autismspeaks.
