Toys"R"Us Offers Toy Guides for the Holidays

November 29, 2012

Looking for holiday toy-buying ideas for a child with autism? Toys "R"Us, a longtime partner of Autism Speaks, publishes two toy guides for parents and caregivers: the Toys"R"Us Toy Guide for Differently-Abled Kids and the Ten Toys That Speak To Autism.

The Toys"R"Us Toy Guide for Differently-Abled Kids has been published for nearly two decades and contains specially selected toys for children with special needs. The recommendations are provided by the National Lekotek Center, a nonprofit organization dedicated to making play accessible to children of all abilities.

Toys“R”Us worked with Autism Speaks and Lekotek to identify the Ten Toys That Speak To Autism, a special subset of the Toys“R”Us Toy Guide for Differently-Abled Kids. Items featured on the list can help build various skills and aid in the development of children with autism.

Both guides are excellent resources to find toys that provide the best opportunities for fun and learning. Download them here: www.autismspeaks.org/toyguides
