(July 14, 2014) - The "30 Under 30: Young Professionals on the Spectrum” campaign has announced its three finalists! The campaign, which went on throughout the 2013-2014 Calendar year, highlighted 2-3 individuals with autism each month. The mission of this campaign is to develop a movement to increase awareness about autism, specifically concerning young adults, and to provide a core group of successful role models for young learners on the spectrum.
The finalist with the most votes on the website between now and August 14th at midnight ET will win a $500 business scholarship toward the individual's business/nonprofit. Vote now!
The three finalists are:
Kerry Magro, 26
Kerry is Autism Speaks' Social Marketing Coordinator and the founder of KFM Making a Difference in the Community. He is also a motivational speaker, a mentor and consultant for children and young adults with autism, as well as a fundraiser for affordable housing for individuals with special needs.
Amy Gravino, 29
Amy is the founder of her own business, A.S.C.O.T Coaching, LLC, through which she coaches other students on the spectrum through the college process. Amy is also an autism advocate and serves on the board of several non-profit agencies as a voice for individuals on the spectrum, including a member of the Autism Speaks Communications Committee.
Erin Clemens, 24
Erin is the founder of her own business, an autism advocate, public speaker, blogger and fundraiser. Erin creates Autism Awareness Duct Tape Bracelets and her profits go toward helping others on the spectrum. Erin was featured in Autism Speaks' Heart of Autism blog series here.
