Autism Speaks initially developed its relationship with the Theta Delta Chi International Fraternity through its Charge at Rutgers University in 2008. For years, the Rutgers Charge participated in the Central NJ Walk Now for Autism Speaks, serving as one of the Walk’s top team, and in 2010, formed Bros UniteD, a buddy program for fraternity brothers to mentor teenage boys on the spectrum.
In December 2011, Theta Delta Chi selected Autism Speaks U as their international philanthropy. Theta Delta Chi’s thirty Charges each work to promote autism awareness and fundraise for Autism Speaks on their college campuses.
