Singer/songwriter Cassandra Kubinski has launched a campaign online to raise money for the production of a music video for her autism anthem, "Not So Different." Cassandra says she wrote the song for a good friend who is the mother of two children on the autism spectrum. She hopes the song will inspire people with autism and their families as well as raise awareness.
"Our goal is to raise $1 million in 2014 for autism programs, support, and community. To do that, we will partner with Autism charities to help bring “Not So Different” to national notoriety, and sales of the song will benefit those organizations. We’re creating a heartfelt, joyful, inspiring video to help launch the song worldwide. Expect children, adults, teachers, parents, celebs- everyone, coming together to support our friends and neighbors with autism," says Cassandra on her website.
Half of all proceeds from the sale of the song will be donated to Autism Speaks. Cassandra will be performing Friday, January 17 in New York City at Caffe Vivaldi (32 Jones Street). There is no cover but she will be accepting donations towards her music video.
