Jaylon O'Neal, a rising senior at Early College Academy of Columbus, was diagnosed with Pervasive Developmental Disorder- Not Otherwise Specified, a form of autism, at a very young age. He has not let that stop him though from pursuing his goals for the future. This year he self-published an autobiography on his life called 'Autism: In My Own Words'. Read a profile of Jaylon from the Ledger-Enquirer in Columbus, Ga.

Jaylon hopes to share his story with larger audiences through this book and going out to speak at events in the hopes of spreading autism awareness. One of his goals is to make sure people understand that some individuals with autism can go out into mainstream society and live rich, fulfilling lives like he has.
