Michigan Community Helps Spread Awareness for Autism with Blue Light Tour

On April 2nd, World Autism Awareness Day, a group of individuals will meet at Marine City Hall in Michigan for the inaugural Blue Light Tour. The group's mission is to spread awareness about autism while trying to encourage their local community to Light It Up Blue. They will drive, walk and/or ride their bikes with autism awareness signage. The tour will end at a local resturant nearby.

Tia Raica, a 22-year-old adult on the spectrum who is a local from Marine City, has played an integral role in seeing this tour happen. In the video above, Tia shares why the Light It Up Blue initiative is important and her hopes of encouraging others to get behind the cause.
