Empire State Building Lights Up Blue for Autism Awareness

Autism Speaks and the autism community celebrated World Autism Awareness Day in on Tuesday, April 2. Yoko Ono, Global Ambassador for Autism Speaks, along with Autism Speaks Co-founders Suzanne and Bob Wright led this year’s Empire State Building Lighting Ceremony.  In addition, seven year old piano prodigy Ethan Walmark, who has autism, and his family joined the ceremony. Ethan and Yoko Ono together flipped the symbolic switch to light up the Empire State Building in blue in support of Light It Up Blue Campaign. This is the fourth year this iconic New York landmark has participated, serving as a beacon of hope along with over 7000 buildings and landmarks around the globe.
