Bob Wright Talks Career Path at Fairfield Country Day School

In one word, Autism Speaks Co-Founder Bob Wright taught 9th graders today -- his key to changing the world of autism and business. "Empathy."

The 9th Grade graduating class of the Fairfield Country Day School in Fairfield, Connecticut listened intently Tuesday morning as he told them to never lose sight of those around them and how their work affects the world. He said -- it's about people. His words hung in the air above the traditional conference table the boys gather at each day.

The conversation turned to Autism Speaks and the millions of affected individuals he, his wife Suzanne, and staff members serve.. The boys asked pointed questions about autism and the fields Autism Speaks reaches--like research, awareness, family services and law.

While he did not try to persuade them to enter into communications, business or law as he has-- he did leave them with some parting advice.

The boys were grateful for the rare treat of an intimate gathering with a very successful businessman and lawyer.

Mr. Wright will again address the boys--this time at a more formal gathering-- their graduation, Wednesday morning.
