BBC Reports on Harvard Brain Bank Donors

August 23, 2012

The BBC posted an article about the loss of brain samples in June at the Harvard Brain Bank, funded by Autism Speaks. The article focuses on the personal stories of the donors and scientists that have dedicated themselves to autism reasearch.

The article states:

Studies on donated brains are considered to be the gold standard for understanding the origin and natural course of the condition, as scans don’t have enough resolution to detect any biochemical changes inside living human brains.
