In a room filled with laughter, drinks, delicious hors d'oeuvres and rocking music, Autism Speaks celebrated the fourth annual Autism Speaks to Young Professionals (AS2YP) summer gala on the trading floor of the New York Stock Exchange on Wall Street. Over 1,000 people turned out for a night of fun in the city to encourage young professionals from all industries to learn about autism, while raising funds in a unique way. The event was co-chaired by Jesse Morris and Danny Ryan and raised over $90,000 dollars for Autism Speaks’ research and advocacy initiatives. Also in attendance were Miss New York 2012, Johanna Sambucini and Miss New York Teen USA, Sabrina Mastrangelo.
The trading floor provided a great venue for dancing to music played by DJ Caleb and enjoying signature Autism Speaks blue martinis. Guests also had a chance to take a photo with friends on the historic NYSE bell podium and to participate in the evening’s raffle for fantastic prizes including tickets for a Bruce Springsteen concert and private suite tickets to a New York Giants vs Chicago Bears game.
Autism Speaks would like to send special thanks to John Thomas Financial, Event Sponsor and Gold Sponsors Illustro and Macquarie Securities. Many thanks as well to the New York Stock Exchange for their commitment to autism awareness and their continued support of this event.
