Autism Speaks Co-Founder Suzanne Wright Honored at Fifth Annual Women Who Care Luncheon


Autism Speaks Co-founder Suzanne Wright received the Luella Bennack Volunteer Award on Thursday, May 4, as part of the 5th Annual Women Who Care Luncheon sponsored by the United Cerebral Palsy of New York City (UCP/NYC). Suzanne's daughter, Katie Wright, whose son was the influence behind the creation of Autism Speaks, presented the award to her mother.

Susan Lucci, Regis Philbin, Danny Glover, Sheila Johnson, and Tim Gunn of Project Runway were among the honorees and presenters.
Other guests included actor and comedian Tom Arnold, President of Lifetime Television, Betty Cohen, and Miss USA, Tara Conner. All proceeds from Women Who Care, UCP/NYC's signature event, go to support its extensive network of more than 80 individual programs serving over 13,000 children and adults with disabilities and their families.
