2014 Lehigh Valley Walk Now for Autism Speaks Recap

April 26, 2014
More than 3000 attendees participated in 8th Annual Lehigh Valley Walk Now for Autism Speaks on Friday, April 25, 2014 at Dorney Park in Allentown PA. Many walkers braved the rain to take part in this much anticipated event. Darth Vader and the Storm Troopers were on hand for photos at the walk start. Red from Red Robin and Tip from Crayola were able to interact with the crowd while dancing along with our two DJ’s. A special on stage ceremony honored longtime Volunteer Nancy Miltenberger for her dedication to our mission. Marisa Lawrence and her family kicked off the walk by cutting the ribbon. Marisa designed the front of the walk shirt that millions across the country will be wearing.

To date, the event raised more than $260,000 in support of Autism Speaks’ mission to fund research, increase awareness and family services and advocate for individuals with autism and their families.
