Calls to Action

2003 NAAR Pre-Doctoral Fellow Conducting Autism Survey

Parents Input Requested for Research Inquiry
April 23, 2007

The National Alliance for Autism Research (NAAR) is pleased to invite parents of children with autism spectrum disorders to take part in a NAAR-funded research project being conducted by Dr. Alice Carter, at the University of Massachusetts in Boston, and 2003 NAAR Pre-Doctoral Fellow Jennifer Kuhn.

Parents can support this project by completing questionnaires that are designed to help investigators learn about the experiences, thoughts and feelings of parents who are raising a child with autism. The research team believes that better understanding of parents' experiences will lead to greater support for parents and more effective intervention services for children with autism and their families. The research team is interested in hearing from both mothers and fathers of children with autism.

The questionnaires may be accessed online and take between 20-30 minutes to complete. The surveys are located online at:

(The survey is no longer active.)

The questionnaires are also available on paper and can be requested by contacting Jennifer Kuhn at (781) 351-9130 or via e-mail at jkuhn@post.harvard.edu. Please leave your mailing address.
