1-Year-Olds Can Show Traits Of Autism, UW Study Finds

Dr. Geraldine Dawson, a member of NAAR's High Risk Baby Siblings Research Project, recently published a study in the Archives of General Psychiatry which evaluated home videotapes of children with autism to observe early signs and symptoms in autism as well as developmental regression in these children. Besides her involvement in the Baby Sibs Consortium, Dr. Dawson recently received a pre-doctoral fellowship through NAAR to study brain activity during imitation tasks in adults with autism.
