Dawson Named Rock Star of Science

Autism Speaks' Chief Science Officer, Geraldine Dawson,as been named a “Rock Star of Science” by Geoffrey Beene Gives Back® and GQ Magazine, who joined forces, along with the Entertainment Industry Foundation/SU2C, to bring together eight celebrity musicians--rock icon Debbie Harry (Blondie), Bret Michaels, Timbaland, Keri Hilson, Heart (Anne and Nancy Wilson), Jay Sean and B.o.B -- and seventeen of the nation's top medical researchers, including Dr. Dawson as well as two Nobel Laureates.
 

Researchers Gather for Neuroscience Meeting

This year's Society for Neuroscience meeting in San Diego hosted more and a greater variety of autism research than ever before. Look for posts focused on several new discoveries in the coming weeks on our blog. In addition, autism researchers from around the world gathered fora a special two-day symposium called The Emerging Neuroscience of Autism Spectrum Disorders: Etiologic Insights; Treatment Opportunities.
