Oprah Devotes Show to Autism
On Thursday, April 5, The Oprah Winfrey Show devoted a full hour to autism. Portions of Autism Speaks' documentary Autism Every Day were featured throughout the program, entitled The Faces of Autism. Several of the parents featured in the film, including Jesse Mojica, Katie Wright and Michele Pierce Burns, participated in the show

along with Autism Speaks' Executive Vice President Alison Singer.

Other topics that were addressed included teens with autism and the effect autism can have on siblings. In addition, the show profiled a pediatrician who specializes in the treatment of autism and is also the parent of two children on the spectrum.
