Autism Speaks Board Member, Family, Ring NASDAQ Closing Bell
Autism Speaks Board Member Laura Slatkin, and Harry Slatkin, president of Home Design for Limited Brands and of Slatkin & Co., founders of the New York Center for Autism (NYCA), were on hand as their nine-year-old son David, who has autism, rang the closing bell at the NASDAQ stock market on April 27, 2009, in honor of Autism Awareness month. The Slatkins were joined by supporters and employees of Autism Speaks and NYCA as well as their daughter Alli.
