Power Lunch co-host Represents NAAR in PC Competition

CNBC anchor Bill Griffeth was building support for autism research this month at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
Griffeth, co-host of the popular CNBC program Power Lunch , participated in the 8th Annual TigerDirect.com “Build Your Own PC Race for Charity” and selected the National Alliance for Autism Research as his designated charity. Through Griffeth's participation in the contest, contest sponsor TigerDirect.com is providing NAAR with more than $3,500 in computer equipment. In addition, NAAR will receive the computer Griffeth built during the competition. Overall over $120,000 in merchandise was donated to charities by TigerDirect.com
"We are honored by Mr. Griffeth's selection and participation in this unique competition," said Glenn R. Tringali, CEO of NAAR. "This support enables NAAR to continue funding the finest research in the world focusing on autism, which offers the best hope to families facing this devastating disorder."
In related news, CNBC's Sue Herera has recently agreed to serve as the celebrity host of the Westchester/Fairfield "Walk Far for NAAR" Kickoff lunch in April. Herera and Griffeth co-host Power Lunch .
The week of February 21st, CNBC is scheduled to air a five part series on autism on Power Lunch ( 12-2pm EST), including a segment focusing on research.
In addition, NBC's Today Show is scheduled to air a 10-part series on autism, also beginning the week of Feb. 21.
