Wright Urges Martha Stewart Show Viewers to Demand Action on Combating Autism Act

Autism Speaks co-founder Suzanne Wright appeared on The Martha Stewart Show on Oct. 18, 2006, to discuss autism and Autism Speaks. Wright used the opportunity to urge viewers of the syndicated talk show to contact House Committee on Energy and Commerce Chairman Joe Barton (R-TX), and demand he release the Senate-passed Combating Autism Act (S.843) from his committee for a vote by the full House. The bill would double federal funding for autism research and would create early intervention programs in all 50 states. Learn more about the television program. And learn more about the need to support action on the Combating Autism Act here.
