Lowe's Motor Speedway Celebrates Autism Awareness Month
CONCORD, N.C. - Lowe's Motor Speedway celebrated Autism Awareness Month by contributing $31,000 to Autism Speaks. The speedway raised the funds by donating $10 from each ticket sold to the NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race and Coca-Cola 600 from April 3 - 11.

"Thanks to our great fans, we were able to raise a considerable amount of money for autism awareness," said Marcus Smith, president and general manager of Lowe's Motor Speedway. "Autism affects so many families around the world and I'm glad we were able to help increase awareness of the disorder and raise funds to help find a cure."

Through Speedway Children's Charities, the contribution will help fund autism research, awareness, advocacy and family services.

Lowe's Motor Speedway is the home of NASCAR's biggest back-to-back weekends next month with the 25th running of the NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race (May 16th) and 50th Coca-Cola 600 (May 24). Ticket packages and payment plan options for both events are available through the Lowe's Motor Speedway ticket office by calling 1-800-455-FANS or online at www.lowesmotorspeedway.com.
