Newsweek.com Article on Restoring Public Faith in Vaccine Safety
This week, Newsweek.com published an article entitled “The Confidence Gap: Why the Obama administration needs to restore public faith in the safety of childhood vaccines.” The article was written by Dr. Louis Z. Cooper, Heidi Larson and Dr. Samuel L. Katz.. Dr. Louis Z. Cooper is professor emeritus of pediatrics at Columbia University and a former president of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). Heidi Larson is an associate research professor at Clark University and a research associate at the Harvard Center for Population and Development Studies. Dr. Samuel L. Katz is the W. C. Davison Professor & chair emeritus of the department of pediatrics at Duke University School of Medicine and a former chair of the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practice at the CDC and former chair of the AAP's Committee on Infectious Diseases.
